About hiring

We are a small company and we are not hiring for a specific role at present. If the work below sounds like yours, we would like to hear from you.

  1. The record
  2. The audit
  3. The dossier
  4. The method

02 The work

One record, four parts.

Collecting reports, scoring them with the working shown, sealing a file someone else can check, and writing the method down. Each part is described in full below.

01What we work on

One record, four parts.

The record
Collecting reports, tracing each claim to its origin, and keeping the edit history of what was published.
The audit
Six axes, scores shown with their inputs, and a clear mark where the sources disagree.
The dossier
A sealed file built from a record, with the sources and the working, that someone else can check.
The method
The rules behind the scores, written down and open to challenge. The collection behind it is the largest piece of work.
02Where we may grow

The kinds of work we will need.

Engineering
Building the record: collection, tracing and scoring, and the interface that shows the working.
Research and analysis
Judging sources, designing the score inputs and finding where the method fails.
Editorial
Writing in the report voice: exact, calm and free of conclusions the evidence cannot carry.
Design
Making a dense record legible without ornament.
03How we work

Three habits, kept.

  1. Describe, never conclude

We hold our own writing to the standard we ask of the reporting in the record.

  2. Show the working

Decisions, scores and changes come with their reasons attached.

  3. Small and careful

A small team that would rather be right and slow than fast and loose.

04Introduce yourself

What to put in your note.

There is no form and no portal. A short email is enough.

  1. Two or three sentences on what you have built, studied or written, with a link to it.

  2. What you would like to work on here, and why it matters to you.

  3. Where you are and the hours you can keep. We are based in Hyderabad and work with people elsewhere.

  4. One thing in our method or our website that you would change.

We read every note and replies, even when there is no role to offer. We use what you send only to reply to you. If you would rather talk first, the telephone number is on the contact page.

Tell us what you would build.

Send a short note about the work you have done and what you would like to do here. A person will read it.
