7Analytica

7Analytica product

A record of what was said, where and when.

7Analytica reads news about world events and keeps the working: who reported each claim first, who only repeated it, and how strong the evidence is. You see how a conclusion was reached before you rely on it.

01 Seven parts

Seven parts, one record.

Each part keeps one piece of the working: the news feed, the claims, the page edits, the world view, the brief, the assistant and your own notes.

02 72 hours

Every reading is drawn over 72 hours.

A reading is a number from 0 to 100 that shows how a topic or place is moving. It is drawn in six-hour steps, so a change is read against what came before it.

A sample reading traced over 72 hours in six-hour steps. It rises from 38 to 72 on a scale of 0 to 100. Illustrative sample.

03 Zones

See where the reporting comes from.

7Analytica sorts coverage into eight zones, which are regions of the world’s media. Each zone gets a heat reading from 0 to 100 that shows how unusually busy its reporting is.

The world monitor: eight media zones, each with a heat reading from 0 to 100, and the reports behind the selected zone.

04 Left out

What we left out on purpose.

A record earns trust by what it refuses to do. 7Analytica never says a claim is true or false, never shows a score without its inputs, and never rewrites an entry in place.

  • Verdicts: left out on purpose.

Describes, never concludes. Nothing says a claim is true or false. It says what the evidence is and how strong.

  • Hidden scores: left out on purpose.

A number is never shown without its inputs and the entries behind them.

  • Silent rewrites: left out on purpose.

A record is not edited in place. A change is a new, dated entry and the old text is kept.

  • Alarm for its own sake: left out on purpose.

A flash marks a change in the evidence. Only flags that matter. Thin evidence is not dressed up as urgency.
