Compare Four other ways
Four other ways to work with the news.
Social listening, news aggregators, fact-checking and manual OSINT each do something 7Analytica does not. These pages say what each is for, where 7Analytica fits and when to use something else. In plain words: there are other tools for following the news, and this says what each is good at.

Each does something 7Analytica does not
Each does something 7Analytica does not. These pages say what each is for, what it leaves out, where 7Analytica fits and when you should use something else. OSINT means open-source intelligence: investigating public material such as images and records.

01 Start with the question
What are you asking?
The question usually decides the tool. 7Analytica answers only the last one: where a claim began, who only repeated it and what was edited.

- 7Analytica and social listening
- Counts mentions and tone on social platforms. 7Analytica reads published reporting instead.
- 7Analytica and news aggregators
- Gathers headlines in one feed. 7Analytica asks which report came first and what changed.
- 7Analytica and fact-checking
- People examine a claim and publish a verdict. 7Analytica shows the evidence and publishes none.
- 7Analytica and manual OSINT
- An analyst investigates with open sources by hand. 7Analytica keeps the reading side in a structured record.
Fair, and checkable
We describe categories of tool, not named products, and we claim no advantage on speed, accuracy or price. Every comparison has a section on when not to use 7Analytica, because for several common jobs it is the wrong choice.
Today 7Analytica covers a single sector. Read the coverage page for what that means, and how we use AI and where it fails for the limits of the method. If you think a comparison is unfair, write to us and we will correct it.

Questions people ask
What is the difference between 7Analytica and a media monitoring tool?
Monitoring tools count mentions and alert on keywords. 7Analytica also separates the first report of a claim from the copies, scores the evidence, compares across media and keeps the edit history. It is a record of one claim at a time, not a feed.
Does 7Analytica replace social listening, aggregators, fact-checkers or OSINT analysts?
No. Each does something 7Analytica does not: measuring social posts, covering many outlets quickly, publishing verdicts, or investigating imagery and records. 7Analytica adds a dated record of origin, repeats, and edits.
When should I not use 7Analytica?
When you need a verdict, social platform data, a broad daily news feed, image verification, public records searches or live alerts. Today it also covers one sector, so it cannot yet serve as your only source.
